I always adore local designers when it comes to selection of fabrics and when detailed embellishments are put into serious matters. Some present Western concepts in different perspective utilizing resources like pina, stiffened sinamay, abaca, batik, etc. Last week PhFW show was bit ambitious but the presence of originality + local skills boast off dynamic runway.
Veejay Floresca's Hard and Soft is one surely won't miss because every piece of model is consistent with the flowy and manly designs that caters dress gown for Filipina, a mixture of Lolita's terno and andro-touched barong. Below are some of my favorite pieces....
